Get to know Zach Johnson

Zach Johnson first joined the PGA TOUR in 2004 and has had a remarkable career, with 12 PGA TOUR victories, five US Ryder Cup appearances, four Presidents Cups, and a 2007 Masters and 2015 Open Championship under his belt. But his winning attitude doesn’t stop there.

He's also now part of a distinguished group of golfers to receive the Payne Stewart Award. Recipients of the Payne Steward Award showcase values of character, charity and sportsmanship. Zach exemplifies these traits, most notably through his foundation which supports children and families in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Zach’s hometown.

The Foundation

Zach Johnson and his wife Kim established the Zach Johnson Foundation in 2010. The Foundation fulfills a life dream to give back to Zach’s hometown in a meaningful way.

The Foundation operates the Kids on Course program that provides tutoring, enrichment, parent engagement, summer learning, and long-term mentoring. Kids on Course serves over 1000 students in the Cedar Rapids Community School District during the school year.

Zach and Transamerica

Transamerica and its parent company Aegon have been Zach Johnson’s primary sponsors since he joined the PGA TOUR in 2004.

Zach is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa where Transamerica has community ties. To honor and congratulate him, the Aegon Transamerica Foundation is proud to announce a contribution of $50,000 to the Zach Johnson Foundation.
