We’ve anticipated some questions and answers you might have about our partnership with our new third party administrator, LTCG. We hope you find this information helpful. As always, feel free to contact us for further details or clarification.

A TPA, or third party administrator, is an entity who directly or indirectly performs certain insurance administration functions, which under state law may require licensing or registration with state insurance regulators.
We sought out a third party administrator in the U.S. that specializes in the administration of long term care insurance. LTCG has made significant investments in technology, and we partnered with this TPA in order to ensure a consistently positive experience for our customers. The agreement with LTCG aligns with Transamerica’s commitment to our customers.
Administrative services means the day-to-day operational functions such as handling premium payments, claims processing, responding to customer service requests, etc.
You will remain a Transamerica customer and this transaction doesn’t affect your policy/product. Transamerica remains responsible for your long term care insurance.
As a service provider to and business associate of Transamerica, LTCG will have access to the information we maintain in your policy file. If you have questions or need additional information, you can contact us at 800-227-3740, weekdays 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. ET.
Transamerica chose a solution that will ensure a smooth transition, namely that employees who currently support long term care insurance will continue to do so. If you currently work with an agent, this change will not affect that relationship.
There are no changes in hours or days of operation.
We constantly strive for better service. Once we complete the transition to LTCG’s computer systems (which will take some time), our customers will benefit from the investments that LTCG has made in technology, especially in terms of speed of service.
Yes. There are no changes to contact numbers.
There will be no changes to the automated phone service options at this time.
There will be no change to your bills or billing cycle at this time. If such a change occurs, you will be notified in advance.
We haven’t changed any of our business correspondence addresses at this time based on our new relationship with LTCG.
Our collaboration with LTCG doesn’t affect your premium rates. There is also no change to the terms of your insurance contract.
Our collaboration with LTCG doesn’t affect your coverage or mean that there are additional coverage options.
No, Transamerica will continue to handle retirement accounts directly without the involvement of a third party administrator at this time.
