Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act

If you have been impacted by the coronavirus, recent federal legislation, known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, allows Northwell Health to provide you with increased flexibility if you need to access money from your retirement account.

This increased flexibility provides for access to tax-advantaged coronavirus-related distributions and expanded loan provisions, including the option to suspend loan payments for up to one year, for participants who meet the qualifications. For complete detailed information on the CARES Act, please click here.

Coronavirus-related distributions and/or loans can impact your ability to retire when you want - so they should be considered as a last resort.

To commence a coronavirus-related distribution and/or loan , LOG IN to access your Northwell Health retirement plan account. Select Forms from the Home tab on the main menu. Then select either the CARES Distribution Request in the Distribution section or the CARES Loan Request in the Loan section and proceed as directed on each request.
