Transamerica Recognized for Supporting an Inclusive Workplace
Transamerica announced today that the company has been named to Seramount’s “2022 Inclusion Index,” marking the fourth time Transamerica has received this honor. Transamerica was one of only 54 organizations that earned a score of 60% or higher.
Seramount’s Inclusion Index helps organizations understand trends and opportunities in demographic representation, creates a road map to drive internal change, and identifies diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions to close any gaps. It also provides insight into how participating organizations performed in three key areas:
- Best practices in recruitment, retention, and advancement of people from underrepresented groups—women, racial/ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people.
- Inclusive corporate culture, including leadership accountability.
- Demographic diversity for women and racial/ethnic minorities.

As part of Transamerica’s commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace, the company sponsors Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). ERGs, which are open to all employees, host regular events to highlight members’ interests and issues and allow members to provide insight and feedback to the company’s leaders.
