Transamerica Appoints Blake Bostwick as CEO of its Individual Solutions Division

Transamerica announces that Blake Bostwick is appointed Chief Executive Officer of its Individual Solutions division. Transamerica’s Individual Solutions team provides insurance and investment solutions to customers and their financial professionals across the U.S.  Mr. Bostwick will also lead the organization’s retail affiliates that distribute life insurance, long term care, annuities and funds.

In his new role, Mr. Bostwick continues reporting to Mark Mullin, Transamerica President and CEO, and heads the existing leadership team within the Individual Solutions division. Mr. Bostwick succeeds Jay Orlandi, who has been Acting CEO of Individual Solutions, and Mr. Orlandi continues in his current role as Chief Operating Officer for Transamerica, reporting to Mr. Mullin.

Mr. Bostwick has been with Transamerica for almost 18 years and he previously served as Transamerica’s CEO of Workplace Solutions. Kent Callahan, a Transamerica veteran for more than three decades, replaces Mr. Bostwick as Transamerica’s CEO of Workplace Solutions.

During Mr. Bostwick’s extensive tenure at Transamerica, he built a diverse portfolio as a senior leader in operations, sales, marketing, and technology across most U.S. business lines – including annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, long term care, retirement and employee benefits.

“Blake is a talented Transamerica leader with a strong customer service orientation and proven history of helping our agents and advisors provide meaningful solutions to their clients,” said Mark Mullin, Transamerica President and CEO. “We are delighted to acknowledge Blake’s successful track record with this appointment. Under his leadership, our Individual Solutions team will continue to engage with our agents and advisors, and develop new opportunities to serve our customers.”

“Transamerica remains deeply focused on helping our customers protect their families and build for the future through insurance and investment solutions,” Mr. Mullin continued. “We are leveraging Blake’s deep experience, commitment to disciplined execution, and considerable institutional knowledge to provide an even better experience for our customers, and their agents and advisors.”
